So - this was last Thursday - we're packed, ready to go -
a little late, I might ad - but what else is new??
We got all the way to Auburn and stopped...for LUNCH.
We wouldn't get too far on empty stomachs, now would we?
So seven hours later - we arrive!!
We made a few stops...
Here Amy and I are the night before - having
dinner at Anthony's - great choice Mindy!
Okay - time to get down to business.
It's so exciting
to see all the great stuff people are unloading!
AMAZING stuff.
There is nothing more exhilarating to an antiques dealer
then an EMPTY trailer!!
Because now
it's time to make the magic.
Our absolutely incredible friend and helper, Mindy Hill,
is joined here by a local young man we hired off Craigslist
to help out - he was AWESOME!!
Genius!!
Do you BELIEVE???
"If you build it, they will come."
And they did - in DROVES!!
This fabulous scale was the very first item that
sold Saturday morning!
Day One ended and we CELEBRATED!
We were joined by a bunch of friends at Chaps - a special place
you cannot miss when you go to Spokane.
Celeste Shaw has created a one of a kind restaurant! Thanks!
So once we get there we find our little Sister Wife!!
Jennifer Bair Wood from Funky Junk in Spokane.
The best things in life aren't things at all....
You go GIRL!
Good friends, good food, good drinks -
GREAT FUN!
So here we are joined by the rest of the
"Sister Wives"!! Haha!
But we are just hours away from Day Two...
the space looked a little worse for the wear...
and to be honest, so did we.
But, we picked ourselves up, dusted ourselves off and finished
with a BANG!
And with a much lighter load coming home!
We're loaded in record time and we're all still SMILING!
Easy to do after such a great weekend.
On the road to HOME again.
Check out that gorgeous sunset through the
bugs on the window!
So now...what's next?
We are opening our new store in
NINE DAYS!!! OMG!
I'll be posting pictures of the store very soon!
KEEP WATCHING!
Thanks for sharing. I so missed Farm Chicks this year. Next year without a doubt. Hugs! Florence
ReplyDeleteAll I can say its a good thing we don't live closer to each other because I wouldn't want to imagine all the trouble we could get into. So fun getting to spend some much needed quality time with you girls.
ReplyDeleteDear Ames and Kris,
ReplyDeleteHow in the hell do you guys do it??! You're opening a new shop, you do the shows, drive for hours to Monticello to restock your space and always make it look fabulous, then turn around and drive for hours back home. If you could bottle up that energy and ambition, you'd be millionaires.
Love you guys!
Your Monticello Mother,
~Joyce
THANK YOU so much! If we could we would! ~Kris
DeleteSeriously!!! The best Farm Chicks EVER!!!! See you soon!
